‘M. P. Arts and M.H. Commerce College for Women’ was established in 1973. Its Medium of Instruction is both English and Gujarati. It is an aided college affiliated to Gujarat University, Ahmedabad, in the state of Gujarat. The college is run by Mahipatram Rupram Ashram Trust; a body registered under the Societies Registration Act, XXI of 1860 and is represented by a Board of 11 Trustees.

It runs Undergraduate Courses - BA (Sociology, Gujarati & Economics in Gujarati Medium) & B.Com. (Both in English and Gujarati medium) and an M. Com Centre.

Procedures and policies for maintaining and utilizing physical, academic and support facilities (laboratory, library, sports complex, computers, classrooms etc.)

A Building The institution allocates and utilizes the funds as per need for the maintenance and upkeep of the given facilities.
The trust and the head of the institution ensures the best utilization of the facilities by various stakeholders.

  • Contracts have been given to various service providers for the maintenance of the, facilities, equipment etc.
  • Infrastructure is maintained and developed by the Trust
  • Regular servicing is done by the agencies who have been given the contract
  • The contracts are renewed every year
  • A Permanent Electrician is hired by the Trust for the upkeep and maintenance of the Electrical equipment
  • A Contract is signed with an agency for the maintenance of the computers and other technical instruments
  • The institution has its own bore facility and so there is no issue related to water supply. The campus also has the water connections of the municipal corporation
  • Aqua guards are installed for clean and pure drinking water
